Unframed prints come in a double mount with backing board in a sealed cellophane display bag so that all that is needed is the glass and outer moulding.

They can also be shipped with just the protected print itself rolled up in a heavy cardboard tube if preferred. Just drop me a message if so.

Chris :-)

An acrylic painting of Ashford Castle and Hotel,Cong, Co Mayo, an historic 5 star hotel set in beautiful grounds and lake in the West of Ireland. This was a big commissioned painting, the canvas being 40x30 inches and took quite a while to execute due to the amount of detail in the building.

Ashford Castle is hundreds of years old,  built in 1228. The Guinness family resided here for over seventy years. It was sold by Arthur Guinness’s nephew to Noel Huggard in 1939 who turned it into a luxury hotel. The hotel is featured a lot in “The Quiet Man”, the film where John Wayne plays an Irish boxer, alongside Maureen O’ Hara, directed by the legendary John Ford.

Over it’s long existence the castle has seen many famous faces both past and present including: Oscar Wilde, William Wilde (the father of Oscar), George Harrison, John Lennon, Ronald Reagan and Brad Pitt.

This painting is available as a Limited Edition run of 200 prints using Epson Archival inks on supreme quality Hahnemuhle Traditional Fine Art paper. See links above to see size and framing options.
